Cambridge starts ops from new facility
Cambridge Solutions, one of the large knowledge-based IT and BPO firms in the world, has moved into a new facility in Chennai.
“The move reinforces our commitment to providing our customers with a secure, state-of-the-art facility. At the same time it provides for a stimulating environment, in which our employees can give off their best,” Mr Chris Sinclair, executive chairman and CEO, Cambridge Solutions said.
Cambridge Solutions focuses on insurance, banking, financial services, government and manufacturing, and is the largest BPO-centric IT company to be listed in the Indian stock exchange. Besides its bases in Chennai and Bangalore, Cambridge has development centres in the US, Australia and Europe.
“We have a unique global delivery model that integrates our client-facing teams with global operations across the world, including India,” Cambridge Solutions executive vice chairman Satyen Patel said. “India plays a major role in our global growth plans with more and more high-end KPO work also being offered to India,” he added.
The company intends to move over 550 of its employees, at present housed in a facility in Chetpet, to the MRC Nagar facility. “It also gives us room to take in an incremental 100 odd people. In addition to this, we have another 300 of our employees in the Scope facility in Chennai,” pointed out Cambridge CFO Pradeep Chaudhry.
