CA Technologies opens new $30 mn facility in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: The NASDAQ-listed CA Technologies will focus more on the markets other than North America in the coming years and it earmarked $ 300 to 500 million this year for acquisitions, its CEO said here today.

According to William E McCracken the revenues from NA region constitutes nearly 55 per cent of the total revenues of the company.

His statement assumes significance as the revenues of the company for the three consecutive years remained flattish.

"Nearly 55 per cent of our revenues presently are coming from North America. The remaining 45 per cent is from rest of the world. We are investing substantially in the growing markets. We have increased our investments around 25 per cent for the growing markets to ensure that we grow beyond market growth," McCracken told media after the inauguration of its worth $ 30 million state-of-the-art facility here.

The company revenues stood at USD 4353 million in FY 10, $ 4271 million in FY 09 and $ 4277 million in FY 08.

CA reportedly spent nearly $ 700 million last fiscal for acquiring small cloud computing software providers.

He said the per centage of North America and the rest of the world will flip after few years.

"The 55 and 45 will take a flip after some years. We will continue to grow in NA with the same growth. We will also grow in countries like BRIC more rapidly as company in Toto. We plan to continue to invest $ 600 million every year in development",McCracken said.
