BENGALURU: BlackRock Inc, a New York-based investment management company, has announced a 5.7% stake in Indian IT services major Infosys’ American depository shares.

With this, BlackRock will hold 125426701 shares in the Indian IT services major.

Blackrock made a 13G filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, which is used to disclose a passive stake in a company. ET could not immediately determine BlackRock’s holdings before the filing.

BlackRock will have “sole power” to vote or to direct the vote for 115767787 shares. A filing has to be made when shareholding exceeds 5 per cent on a US-listed security.

A review of Infosys’ filings with the SEC show no other 13G filings, making it likely that BlackRock is the single largest holder of the company’s ADS

Separately, BlackRock also disclosed a 6.6% stake in business process management company Genpact.
