BCCL picks up 5% in Sai InfoSystem

BCCL has inked an agreement to pick up around 5% stake in Ahmedabad-based Sai InfoSystem (India).

AHMEDABAD: Bennett, Coleman & Co (BCCL) has inked an agreement to pick up around 5% stake in Ahmedabad-based Sai InfoSystem (India).

“As a long-term strategy, the company may come up with an initial public offering in three years,” said Sunil Kakkad, CMD, SIS, which offers total IT solutions to end users comprising hardware, software, networking and related services.

Mr Kakkad said the company operates in the area of system integration, call centre solutions and has been focusing on four verticals namely telecom, power, defence and the state government.

“This year, we added two more verticals: retail and gaming,” he said.

SIS’s retail initiative e-Mall is one of its kind in Gujarat where all leading IT brands are available under one roof.

The company plans to come up with 13 e-Malls across the state by the end of next fiscal.

Apart from taking its retail venture to cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Jaipur, SIS also plans to set up an online mall.
