IT solutions provider Avocent Corp appoints Apara Enterprise Solutions to manage its hardware and software offerings.

BANGALORE: Betting on fast-growing market in India, US-based IT solutions provider Avocent Corporation on Thursday announced it has appointed Apara Enterprise Solutions in India to sell and support its hardware and software offerings.

The solution includes LANDesk Server Manager Software, whose integration into Avocent's flagship DSView 3 management software was also announced here on Thursday.

"We realised that high growth and penetration requires a dedicated and excellent partner (in India) which is how Apara came into picture," Country Head of Avocent India, Monish Chhabria, said.

Apara Enterprise Solutions would provide customers the Avocent DSView 3 Management Software platform that enables secure, centralised management of IT assets in geographically dispersed data centres and allows IT administrators to remotely access, monitor and control target devices on multiple platforms at numerous locations, officials said.

"Avocent is the first vendor to offer a combined in-band and out-of-band solution that helps companies manage their heterogeneous data centres," Vice-President Marketing Programs of Avocent, Steven Russ said.
