AGC Networks targets 20% headcount addition as revenue grows

AGC Networks is targeting double-digit sequential growth over the next few quarters and plans to boost headcount as steps taken to diversify revenue begins to show results.

“We have been growing well and we are expecting strong growth over the next few quarters. We are looking to increase our headcount by 20% as we hire skilled talent in areas like digital and automation,” Sanjeev Verma, CEO of AGC, said. AGC has over 700 employees globally currently.

The company gets half its revenue from India and half from other countries, as opposed to 90% from India five years ago.


Verma said the company’s investments in digital and emerging areas such as cyber-security were also beginning to show results. AGC Networks works with company to help implement their technology initiatives. In India, it works with some of the largest business process management companies.

Verma said that while the bankruptcy of technology vendor Avaya had caused clients to go slow on those spends, demand had picked up again.

The company is also looking at increasing the geographical footprint.

“AGC is looking at expanding in the United Kingdom, Malaysia and Indonesia. Our existing clients have operations is some of these regions so we can serve them from there,” Verma said.
