Aegis awards quality process outsourcing contract to US entity

Business process outsourcing company Aegis on Wednesday said it has awarded a two-year quality process contract to Texas-based Customer Operations Performance Center Inc (COPC Inc).

MUMBAI: Business process outsourcing company Aegis on Wednesday said it has awarded a two-year quality process contract to Texas-based Customer Operations Performance Center Inc (COPC Inc).

As part of the pact, about 1,000 Aegis employees associated with internal quality assurance process across 42 locations world-wide would move under COPC Inc's fold, a statement said in Mumbai.

"This is a landmark agreement which would alter the service quality delivery landscape in the BPO segment world- wide. We believe this is a win-win situation for Aegis and our customers," Aegis managing director and Global CEO Aparup Sengupta said in the statement.

An Essar Group enterprise, Aegis offers the benefits of a global delivery model, strong financial strength, deep industry expertise, comprehensive and flexible solution offerings, the statement said.

COPC Inc is a leading authority on service-chain operations management, including performance improvement for buyers and providers of customer service and business process outsourcing operations.
