VSNL Q2 net up 17.58%
Total income rose to Rs 1,005 crore for the second quarter in 2006-07.

MUMBAI: Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd on Tuesday posted a 17.58 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 107 crore for the quarter ended September 30, as compared to Rs 91 crore for the corresponding quarter last year.
Total income rose to Rs 1,005 crore for the second quarter in 2006-07, up 4.57 per cent from Rs 961 crore during the same quarter a year ago, the Tata group company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
