Twitter faces downtime globally for almost an hour

Twitter faced a downtime for almost an hour today.

Users in many parts of the world faced issues posting tweets on the social networking website.

The issue affected the Web, mobile, TweetDeck, Twitter Card Validator as well as the Android and iOS apps. Third party apps like TweetBot were also affected.

Twitter acknowledge the problems, and saying it was working on a fix.

Some users are currently experiencing problems accessing Twitter & Tweeting. We are aware of the issue and are working towards a resolution.

Twitter's search function isn't working properly either and clicking trending topics sometimes brings up zero results, and the message, "Sorry, we couldn't complete your request."

However, Twitter quickly diagnosed and fixed the issues, and users were able to login within the hour.

Earlier today some users may have experienced issues sending Tweets, this issue has now been resolved, thank you for your patience!

Websites like Facebook, Messenger, and WhatsApp have also recently witnessed outages.
