Twitter error kicks Android app users out of their accounts, issue resolved
At around 10 am, Twitter’s @Support handle tweeted that the issue that prevented some users from signing in to Twitter had been resolved.

“Twitter for Android was down. Most folks did not know what to do with all that free time. Staring blankly into nothingness,” tweeted @rashi_kakkar.
At around 10 am, Twitter’s @Support handle tweeted that the issue that prevented some users from signing in to Twitter had been resolved.
The website confirmed on its status blog (status.twitter.com) that there was a glitch. “Between 4:00 and 9:25 PST (5:30-10.45 pm IST) today some users were unable to sign in to Twitter. This issue was due to a bug in our frontend code, which has been patched. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this. Some users are currently having trouble signing in to Twitter. Our engineers are currently working to resolve this,” it said.
It seemed there was no glitch for iPhone users. Popular comic blog @9GAG tweeted, “Twitter mobile is down for Android? For once I’m proud to be a hipster who uses an iPhone. :)” Some users took to other networking sites to talk about the issue. “I thought my account was hacked because I could not log back in... I guess somewhat glad to see I’m not the only one, though not ideal,” wrote Embar86.
