TimesCity acquires mobile products firm Gawbl

MUMBAI: TimesCity, part of Times Internet, today said it has acquired mobile product company Gawbl for an undisclosed amount.

Gawbl offers a mobile app which recommends restaurants nearby based on the user's mood.

Gawbl was designed and developed by a Pune-based team, led by founder, Chiragh Kirpalani, who will join TimesCity as the head of mobile, a statement today said.

"Users are increasingly looking for apps that make it easy for them to decide on the go. The addition of the Gawbl team will enable us to deliver an amazing user experience for the TimesCity community," TimesCity Business Head Miten Sampat said.
