Social media news portal Social Samosa sold to private investors for Rs 2-3 crore
NEW DELHI: Social media news portal Social Samosa has been sold to private investors for an undisclosed amount, three people with knowledge of the deal said. A group of investors bought the company for Rs 2-3 crore, one of the people said. The website socialsamosa. com follows social media news, trends, online campaigns and technology reviews, among other things. The Mumbai-based company was co-founded by entrepreneurs Ankita Gaba and Aditya Gupta four years ago and has over 10 employees.

"The company was making average revenue of Rs 70 lakh per annum," one of the people said.

Gaba and Gupta declined to comment on the matter.

Gaba is also a co-founder of GetEvangelized, a platform that will help thought leaders and influencers on social media find digital endorsement opportunities from brands and agencies in their campaigns. It will also measure the impact of such engagements. Gupta has been involved with another startup, iGenero, a digital interaction agency that specialises in branding, web-based products and digital strategy.
