Sify bets big on cloud services
At present a significant share of the company's revenue is derived from enterprise services comprising telecom, data, cloud and managed services.

The company sees a huge potential in the field with many manufacturing and insurance companies moving to cloud considering the flexibility and affordability of the service. "Currently we should be among the top two leading players in providing cloud services in the country," Raju Vegesna, chairman Sify Technologies, said.
The NASDAQ-listed company is expecting cloud services to contribute more to its revenues in the coming years. At present a significant share of the company's revenue is derived from enterprise services comprising telecom, data, cloud and managed services, application integration and technology integration services.
"We would like to take cloud to the next level , which is to provide domain knowledge to the client. This way it can choose the best options for future and become more productive," he said.
Raju Vegesna, who was in Kochi for launch of the company's cloud services in Kerala, said Sify will offer public, private and managed cloud services to the market which is fast emerging as an important server message block (SMB) hub. "With the second largest digital penetration in the country, Kerala is an attractive market for the adoption of new age IT technologies,'' he said.
Adarsh Singh, vice president of cloud and managed services of the company, said Sify has tested Kerala market and has received encouraging response. The company is looking at banking, insurance, IT, ITES and manufacturing sectors as future clients .
Sify earned a turnover of Rs 1286 crore last year and clocked a growth of 22%.
