SIDCUL-IDEB to construct cyber tower for Rs 85 cr
The Uttaranchal government on Monday launched a joint venture company in public-private partnership with Bangalore-based infrastructure conglomerate IDEB to develop a cyber tower at a cost of Rs 85 crore, for housing an IT park.
DEHRADUN: The Uttaranchal government on Monday launched a joint venture company in public-private partnership with Bangalore-based infrastructure conglomerate IDEB to develop a cyber tower at a cost of Rs 85 crore, for housing an IT park.
An agreement in this regard was signed by Alok Kumar, Managing Director of the State Industrial Development Corporation of Uttaranchal Limited (SIDCUL) and Harkirat Singh Bedi, Managing Director of IDEB.
The company called SIDCUL-IDEB is a Special Purpose Vehicle with SIDCUL holding 49 per cent of the equity and the rest being held by IDEB.
The State Secretary also unveiled the Doon Cyber Tower being set up on the outskirts of Dehradun, which will be developed by the new company.
He said Uttaranchal is known to be the knowledge hub of the north, and home to some of the country's oldest and most prestigious institutions and research centres. It is through such infrastructure ventures, the government is committed to provide opportunities to youth to find quality employment within the state.
Uttaranchal has seen unprecedented growth in the manufacturing sector and is working keenly to ensure more investments in the service sector, he added.
