Shared data plans: Is India ready?

How do smartphone users look at shared data plans? Such schemes allow several devices to connect to a single pool of data, obviating the need to manage multiple subscriptions in a single household.

According to Ericsson’s Consumer Lab Report, a significant proportion of respondents in India think that shared plans increased costs while in the UK and South Korea that figure was nearly a third, indicating differences across markets.
