NEW DELHI: Samsung has unveiled a 10-inch Netbook, N310, which it claims kills bacteria!
The Netbook, styled by award-winning Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa, boasts of a frameless screen and 'pebble design' keyboard, which Samsung claims is 93 percent of the size of a desktop keyboard for easy typing.
N310 weighs only 1.23kg with a four-cell battery, which Samsung claims will give you up to five hours without busting out some mains supply. Battery savings come from the LED display and optimized performance from the Intel Atom processor.
Hardware specifications include unspecified Intel Atom processor, 1GB DDR2 RAM and 160GB HDD for storage. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi, HSDPA and WiBRO. Also included is a 1.3 megapixel webcam and three USB ports. The Netbook will ship with Windows XP Home Edition.
With the announcement of N310 netbook, Samsung joins the high-end netbook segment. The company is expected to launch the N310 in Korea, Asia, Europe, Commonwealth of Independent States and North America soon.
