Printvenue.com eyes 10% share in Rs 3K cr customised gift mkt

NEW DELHI: Online portal for corporate and business printing Printvenue.com has made a foray into over Rs 3,000-crore individual merchandise printing and targets up to 10 per cent share in the segment this year.

The portal eyes individual customers like students, entrepreneurs or working professionals who order personalised accessories for own use or as customised gifts to family and friends.

"It is a niche market and growing at a fast rate in the country. There is no big player in the segment and we are targeting up to 10 per cent share in over Rs 3,000-crore segment this year," Printvenue.com CEO Saurabh Kochhar said.

"This year, we will increase our geographical reach and increase our technologies to bring greater value to our increasing customer base," he said, adding that the portal provides service in around 20,000 pin codes in the country.

It is offering a range of customised gift items such as photo-mugs, photo-notebooks, pen drives and iPhone cases to individual users.

"Earlier the traditional process of buying used to be time consuming and cumbersome for the youth due to work and study. We've made it easier for them to buy personalised gifts and we are able to bring transparency, customer service and quality to the industry," Kochhar said.

The company started operations last year in business-to- business segment offering office stationery which includes business cards, letterheads, and cardholders. It has engaged more than 10 lakh users since its launch, he said.

The company, which has received funding from VC fund Rocket Internet, has expanded product portfolio to over 200 items and has 80 employees at present.
