Online time slot booking service for driving licence applicants

NOIDA: On the lines of passport application system, the Noida transport department today launched online time slot booking service for driving licence applicants.

The system will provide a one-and-a-half-hour time slot from 3 PM to 4.30 PM on each working day, Assistant Regional Transport Officer of Noida Rachna Yaduvanshi said.

During this period, only online booking applications will be taken up. A dedicated window has been set up to handle applicants booked for the time slot.

A maximum of 50 bookings will be taken for the slot per day, Yaduvanshi said.

The bookings will be available two weeks in advance, she said.

For the booking, one has to log on to artonoida.com and then click on the Online Time Slot Booking Option.

Apart from Gautam Budh Nagar (Noida), the facility is available for Agra, Aligarh, Allahabad, Ghaziabad, Kanpur, Lucknow and Varanasi districts too, Yaduvanshi said.

Depending on the number of applications, in future more bookings would be taken and time period would be extended from 4.30 PM to 5 PM, she added.
