NSG launches new website following hacking bid

The National Security Guard (NSG) has launched a new website after a suspected hacking attempt was recently reported.

NEW DELHI: The National Security Guard ( NSG) has launched a new website after a suspected hacking attempt was recently reported in a standalone computer at its headquarters here.

The website -- www.nsg.gov.in -- has changed its display and look but has retained the features and information that it hosted earlier.

Last month a standalone computer of the elite commando force suffered a suspected hacking attempt which was stated to be a result of "some malware inadvertently downloaded from the internet".

"As a matter of abundant caution, instructions have been issued to disconnect all such standalone computers from the internet and install reliable security software on any such computer that is proposed to be used to access the internet," a Home Ministry statement in this regard earlier said.
