No wait, only watch with IIS
If you are one of those who watch or upload video content on the Internet, then Microsoft’s latest media offering, Internet Information Services (IIS) could perhaps grab your attention.

It also has features like intelligent progressive downloads, smooth streaming, edge caching and advanced logging all of which help cut bandwidth costs without compromising on user experience.
On an average, only 30% of an entire video is watched by an end user but he pays up for the bandwidth of all the videos. Microsoft says that the new features in IIS rule out that possibility. Apart from cost reduction, end-users can gain from a better viewing experience on par with television quality on their favourite video websites. It also removes challenges like buffering and low quality playback.
For content creators, smooth streaming offers code-free deployment and simplified management. Other features like edge-caching helps reduce network congestion while advanced logging helps clients to track end-users and monetise internet ads.
