Nettlinx forms JV with US firm
Hyderabad-based Nettlinx Ltd on Thursday said it has formed a joint venture with US-based Smart IMS for launching voice over internet protocol (VoIP) services in Andhra Pradesh.

MUMBAI: Hyderabad-based Nettlinx Ltd on Thursday said it has formed a joint venture with US-based Smart IMS for launching voice over internet protocol (VoIP) services in Andhra Pradesh.
The company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that it has forged the JV, to be called SmartLinx, and its VoIP services have been launched across the state under the brand name 'Matallo'.
Nettlinx said it would roll out various models of phones such as Matallo home and Matallo Videophone. Matallo means "in words" in Telugu.
Matallo phones were launched by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajashekhar Reddy on Thursday, who expressed his happiness over Telugu entrepreneurs coming together to provide low cost telephony services.
