MCD proposes to allot future contracts through e-tendering

In a bid to maintain transparency in the tendering process for parking lots, MCD has proposed to allot all future contracts through e-tendering system only.

NEW DELHI: In a bid to maintain transparency in the tendering process for parking lots, MCD has proposed to allot all future contracts through e-tendering system only.

As part of the civic body's new parking policy, which was cleared by the MCD House today, it is proposed that all future contracts should be allotted through the e-tendering process only.

The matter would be placed before the Standing Committee for consideration and formal approval.

"The MCD shall reserve the right of putting up advertisements on the boundary or within the parking site either for itself or through authorised advertiser or any other agency," the proposed policy said.

Apart from this, the proposed policy envisages the every successful tenderer to deposit an amount equal to three month's license fee as security deposit and license fee of total two years period of contract by opting any of the following within three days of acceptance of the offer.

The MCD will supply a map of the space allowed for the parking of scooters or motor cycles and the licensee shall use the parking space strictly according to the map.
