Lycos and Apollo form joint venture to build full-stack e-commerce solution
HYDERABAD: Digital media, marketing and connected wearables maker Lycos has joined hands with Apollo International Limited, a subsidiary of Apollo Group which manufactures automobile tyres and tubes to build an e-commerce solution platform, Apollo Lycos Netcommerce.

The solution will help luxury brands go online by managing marketing, driving engagement and sign ups, fulfilling orders, ensuring data security and consumer privacy, inventory tracking and management, order delivery and reverse logistics.

“The plan is to bring a unique digital shopping experience to Indian consumers, where they can interact directly with global brands they love.” said Raaja Kanwar, vice chairman and managing director of Apollo International Limited.
While logistics and fulfillment will be driven by Apollo, the digital marketing and security will be addressed by Lycos Internet as a part of the joint venture. “We are aiming at providing an innovative service for big brands to enter India seamlessly,” said Suresh Reddy, chairman and CEO of the listed entity Lycos.
