NEW DELHI: Web company Lime Spot LLC on Wednesday launched 'LimeExchange.com' from India, where small and medium enterprises can get professionals for work outsourced by them.

"We are launching the platform from India as the country is a major hub that attracts professionals for outsourced work," Lime Spot Head of India Operations Pawan Agarwal told reporters here.

The company also plans to launch the LimeExchange website in other major hubs like China, Philippines, Ukraine, Russia and Romania among others.

The professionals can post their profiles for free on the website, however, they will have to pay eight per cent of the project fee to the website on the completion of the work.

The company expects business worth 2 million dollars to be transacted on the website in the next 12 months with each deal varying in size between 1,000-5,000 dollars.

"This is an attempt to bring online the offline model of business transaction which is referrals, references and reputation," said Agarwal.
