NEW DELHI: World's biggest chipmaker Intel Corp today said it is arranging a three-day annual conference 'Intel Asia Academic Forum (AAF)' in the capital to be held from October 24.

Intel Asia Academic Forum (AAF) will bring faculty, Intel technologists, industry experts and academia from across Asia to exchange ideas the role of public-private partnership in building a pipeline of world-class talent and encouraging the adoption of new technologies.

"Countries need to constantly encourage, incubate and drive timely adoption of academia research and innovation by the industry and also accelerate the advancement of university curricula that keeps pace with technological changes," Intel India President, Praveen Vishakantaiah said in a statement here.

With the theme 'Accelerating innovation and Research on Emerging technologies', AAF 2007 aims to provide a platform for sharing of ideas on the common research areas for collaboration between academic world and industry.

The forum would be attended by over 100 faculties from China, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Japan and Vietnam, a company release said.

The conference would deliberate on challenges faced by emerging markets in the areas of broadband and adoption of IT in rural areas and also showcase ingenious projects developed by social entrepreneurs which can have impact at the grassroot level.
