Infotel wins all-India broadband spectrum

NEW DELHI: India's Infotel Broadband Services is the only firm to win broadband spectrum in all 22 zones in an auction that ended on Friday, a source with direct knowledge of the matter said.

US chipmaker Qualcomm has won spectrum in the lucrative Delhi and Mumbai zones and some others, the source who did not wish to be identified as auction results are not yet public, said. India's leading mobile operator Bharti Airtel won spectrum in "three or four" zones, the source added.
