Indiatimes, Google join hands to stream IPL4 matches

Cricket fans will be able to watch complete live-streams, full length catch-up matches and highlight clips of the entire fourth season of the IPL.

NEW DELHI: Indiatimes, the global internet, mobile and audio rights' partner for the Indian Premier League (IPL) has entered into a partnership with Google that will enable it to stream all 74 matches of IPL4 on both ipl. indiatimes.com and on its dedicated YouTube channel, youtube.com/indiatimes.

Cricket fans across the world will be able to watch complete live-streams, full length catch-up matches and highlight clips of the entire fourth season of the IPL. The agreement will also enable YouTube to offer catch-up clips to users on its mobile platform.

Both the partners will seek to capitalise upon individual brand strengths while collaborating on monetisation efforts in India and other international markets. "Partnering with YouTube is a step forward for us in creating supplementary distribution channels for Indiatimes to reach out to cricket fans world over." said Rishi Khiani, CEO, Times Internet.

Gautam Anand, director, content partnership, JAPAC- Google, said: "Long-form sports content has been a big focus area for us, and we're excited to partner with Indiatimes to bring live action from IPL Season 4 to cricket fans on YouTube."
