LTE will account for more than 60% of the total subscriptions in the country by 2023 compared to the 12% LTE subscriptions in 2017.

India’s mobile data traffic to grow 11 times in 6 years
India’s total monthly data traffic is expected to grow 11 times on mobile phones and five times on smartphones over the next six years, according to the latest edition of the November edition of the Ericsson Mobility Report.

India had 1,185 million mobile subscriptions by the end of September this year.

LTE will account for more than 60% of the total subscriptions in the country by 2023 compared to the 12% LTE subscriptions in 2017.

The report estimates that there will be around 800 million VoLTE subscribers in India by 2023, growing at a CAGR of 42.5% between 2017 and 2023.
