Girnar Software buys Zigwheels.com; Times Internet picks stake in Girnar

MUMBAI: Girnar Software has acquired Zigwheels.com from Times Internet for an undisclosed amount to consolidate its leadership in online auto portals space.

Consequently, Times Internet has become an investor in Girnar Software, alongside Sequoia Capital, Hillhouse, Tybourne, Ratan Tata and HDFC Bank, the two companies announced on Tuesday.

Girnar Software's properties CarDekho.com, Gaadi.com, Zigwheels.com, BikeDekho.com, and TyreDekho.com now attract close to 30 million monthly visitors, making it the top destination for consumers, dealers, OEMs and other industry stakeholders.

Zigwheels.com will operate independently as a separate business within Girnar Software umbrella and will exploit powerful cross-synergies with other platforms and resources within the group.
