BENGALURU: Facebook's TikTok clone Lasso is shutting down on July 10, the short-video app alerted users on Wednesday.

Lasso was launched in 2018 as an answer to TikTok, which has gained popularity globally.

However, Lasso failed to gain traction and match TikTok. Facebook is now betting on Instagram Reels. It is also similar to TikTok where a user can record 15 second videos.
