Facebook site dedicated to Bengali poems clicks 30,000 visits
"Sunilda had always encouraged young poets, he had always been so supportive to explore any newly emerging media" Bhoomi frontman, Surojit said.

Recalling thekobitaclub.com was launched by late poet Sunil Gangopadhyay in last August, Surojit said and the journey has been phenomenal as in past couple of months we had been getting feedback from Bengalis spread across the globe, from faraway zones like UK, Canada, US, middle-east as well as neighbouring Bangladesh and here.
"Sunilda had always encouraged young poets, he had always been so supportive to explore any newly emerging media. And he will forever remain with us," Bhoomi frontman, Surojit, told PTI here today.
In another first for a Bengali poetry page on FB, that too with contributions of all new poets, hailing from different professions and belonging to disparate age groups but all fired with similar passion, over 7000 likes were recorded for the Kobita Club page, Surojit said.
Reminiscing how the club came into being during an adda session with some Bhoomi band friends, Surojit said "as we posted the line 'aar bhalo lage na' (feeling restive, feeling uncontented) on FB, we were flooded with follow-up lines, all brilliant ideas, and a full e-poem came off."
