Ericsson India launches customised network products to drive 3G, 4G deployment

MUMBAI: Swedish telecom gear maker Ericsson has launched its new customised network solutions for the Indian market that will help service providers to significantly cut operating costs. It said that these new solutions will help increase the deployment of 3G and 4G network in the country.

Ericsson launched Wideband Radio 2242, which is a single radio radio addressing two spectrum bands (1800 Mhz and 2100 MHz) and three standards. It also launched Dual Band Radio Dot, which provides boost to indoor mobile broadband connectivity.

Nitin Bansal, head of network products, Ericsson India said that video and social are driving the dramatic increase in data traffic. "These solutions have been designed to help Indian telcos address this heightened demand by increasing capacity, improving coverage outdoors and indoors while enabling significant opex benefits, he added.
