Police are keeping strict vigil over the netizens frequenting cyber cafes in the city in the wake of the mysterious email pertaining to Jaipur blasts was received by various television channels.

KANPUR: Police are keeping strict vigil over the netizens frequenting cyber cafes in the city in the wake of the mysterious email pertaining to Jaipur blasts was received by various television channels.

Indian Mujahideen, an outfit, had claimed to have sent the mail which has been traced to a cyber cafe in Ghaziabad.

There are over hundred cyber cafes here and the authorities had earlier instructed their owners to maintain a record of the net users, officials said.

Additional District Magistrate Shakuntla Gautam along with senior police officials today inspected few cyber cafes in the city and gave a stern warning to their owners to abide by the orders, official sources added.

All the cyber cafe owners have been asked to maintain a complete record, name and addresses of each net-user, said an official.
