NEW DELHI: IT networking major Cisco Systems on Thursday said it has bagged an order from express cargo company Gati to implement its integrated Wide Area Network across 400 locations in the country for running web-based applications.
Cisco's network will connect 120 locations through terrestrial links and the remaining through Remote Access Server, a Cisco release said here.
"We have chosen Cisco's network and solution with the objective of consolidating our information resources and improving inter-office connectivity," Gati Ltd chief information officer G S Ravi Kumar said.
Gati has also deployed Cisco's Voice over IP solution for interoffice communication at its domestic and international locations.
The cargo company offers services ranging from express cargo distribution to complex end-to-end integrated logistics and supply chain management solutions.
