Call India for free this Diwali!

NEW DELHI: This Diwali calling India to greet your near and dear ones may not weigh heavily on your pocket, courtesy Yahoo Voice! The internet giant is celebrating the festival of lights by offering the industry’s lowest PC-to-Phone calling rates.

The promotion applies to users of Yahoo Voice’s premium Phone Out service. As per the offer, the calls to India will cost 4.9
US cents per minute from Oct 17 to 20 and between Oct 22nd and 23rd. And what may be termed as a Diwali gift from
the company, the calls to India will be free on the day of Diwali, Oct 21st.

The offer is applicable to all the existing subscribers of Yahoo Messenger’s Phone Out service. New users are required
to download Yahoo Messenger and sign up for a Phone Out account to avail the promotion.

The Phone Out service enables the consumers to make phone calls through their Yahoo Messenger. The service allows people to make calls from their computers for 2 cents a minute or less to some of the top telecom markets of the world.

The service also enables users to make calls from computers to regular phones at varying rates to 180 countries. The technology is one of the latest to provide cheap telephony services to users worldwide and is taking on the traditional telecom companies in a big way.
