BSNL broadband to connect districts, subordinate courts
State-owned BSNL on Wednesday bagged a contract through National Informatics Centre (NIC) to provide broadband connectivity to around 13,000 districts and taluka courts across the country.

NEW DELHI: State-owned BSNL on Wednesday bagged a contract through National Informatics Centre (NIC) to provide broadband connectivity to around 13,000 districts and taluka courts across the country.
The BSNL's scheme is under its e-governance package to various government bodies.
BSNL is offering special package with single window facility for application in billing and payment.
Various central and state government ministries, departments and PSUs are implementing the e-governance related project.
Presently, BSNL has 11 lakh broadband connections are working. The BSNL broadband work for 25 lakh additional connections is now progressing in full swing.
