65 million businesses have pages on Facebook, 8 million have profiles on Instagram: Facebook

NEW DELHI: Social networking platform Facebook said it is now the mobile solution for 65 million businesses with pages and 8 million with profiles on Instagram.

In a blog post released this week Facebook said with more than 5 million active advertisers on Facebook, it needs to provide solutions for businesses so customers can learn more about their products, visit websites, download an app, or even send messages.

"We're proud of our online community of small businesses and want to make connecting with customers as easy as ," the post stated.

Facebook has updated its Ads Manager app which is aimed at optimising time.

At a glance, businesses can see how ads for their pages are performing, or see a snapshot of how their ad account performed in a week compared to the previous week.

They can even select up to five ads and compare them side by side.

The post further said that the app now recommends actions businesses can take to increase ad performance—and it makes it easy for them to do so in one click.

"For example, we'll notify you when a high performing ad (compared to your other similar ads) is about to end and give you a one-click option to extend the schedule for another one, three or seven days," it stated.
