TCS opens co-innovation centre at Carnegie Mellon University

The centre specializes in innovation in the manufacturing and utilities sectors, providing enterprises with new ways to tap the Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence domains, according the company's statement.

Bengaluru: Tata Consultancy Services has opened Pace Port advanced research and co-innovation centre at the Carnegie Mellon University campus in Pittsburgh, US. The centre is designed to help US companies bring innovations using the technology and collaborating with local startups, entrepreneurs and students.

The centre specializes in innovation in the manufacturing and utilities sectors, providing enterprises with new ways to tap the Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence domains, according the company's statement.

This is the fourth such center launched by TCS.


“To drive sustainable growth, US companies are forming collaborative ecosystems spanning multiple technology disciplines and industries -- like the ones TCS, Carnegie Mellon University, startups and other partners will foster right here at TCS Pace Port Pittsburgh,” said Ananth Krishnan, chief technology officer, TCS. “This co-innovation hub brings to life our belief that innovation has a context but no boundaries. Together, we are answering the call to innovate with speed.”

The centre brings partner ecosystems, digital talent, trendspotting, sandboxes and other innovation toolsets. TCS Pace Port Pittsburgh is the fourth global co-innovation hub launched by TCS.
