LTIMindtree, India’s sixth-largest IT services provider, has won a Rs. 3,000 crore, seven-year contract from the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) to modernise its analytics platform with the help of AI, the company said in a statement on Friday.

This follows the service provider’s largest deal in October last year, when it won a $580 million contract with a ‘leading global media and entertainment company,’ and a $450 million, multi-year contract in May 2025 with the US-based Archer-Daniels-Midland Company, an agribusiness player.

Shares of the Mumbai-headquartered company rose 5% to Rs. 6,337 around noon on Friday on the BSE. The announcement came during market hours.

More details of the project are expected on Monday, January 19, during the earnings call for its FY26 results.

The ramp-up in the company’s large-deal wins is expected to aid growth, with brokerages expecting its revenues to rise between 2.2% and 2.4% sequentially in the December quarter.

The company’s net profit had grown 12% year-on-year in the previous quarter, to Rs. Rs 1,401 crore, while its revenues rose 10% to Rs. Rs 10,394 crore, surpassing market estimates.
