Italian digital service company Engineering sells two units to Accenture

A source familiar with the matter told Reuters the deal was worth around €900 million ($1 billion). Alfahealth and Industries eXcellence respectively offer digital solutions for Italy's healthcare and industrial sectors.
Together they accounted for about 18% of Engineering's consolidated net revenue and 25% of adjusted core earnings (Ebitda) in 2025.
Engineering, jointly controlled by private equity firms Bain Capital and NB Renaissance, reported a 2025 adjusted core profit of €280.3 million. The transaction will help sharpen Engineering's focus on its core segments and further accelerate its fast-growing AI offering, the company said.
Accenture said separately that the two acquisitions were part of its strategy of integrating software, data and AI to accelerate the competitiveness and transformation of Italy's strategic sectors.
The transactions are expected to close in the fourth quarter of this year, subject to approvals from Italian antitrust and government authorities.
