Infosys invests in AI enterprise procurement startup Aerchain

Infosys has invested an undisclosed amount in Bengaluru-based AI-first enterprise procurement startup Aerchain through Infosys Innovation Fund.

Founded in 2019 by Harsha Kadimisetty and Himavanth Jasti, Aerchain is an AI-powered procurement platform for enterprises, designed to transform sourcing through autonomous workflows and a multi-AI agent framework.

In March this year, Aerchain raised $13 million (about Rs 118 crore) in a funding round led by Pavestone VC, with participation from IndiaMART and other investors. In September 2021, it had secured $3 million in a pre-Series A round co-led by IndiaMART and Season Two Ventures.


With Aerchain, sourcing becomes seamless, data-driven and future-ready, enabling organisations to unlock value and redefine procurement excellence, Shyam Mundhada, head of corporate development (M&A/start-up fund) at Infosys, said in a LinkedIn post.

Infosys Innovation Fund was started in 2013 and expanded its capital allocation to $500 million in 2015. It invests in entrepreneurial ventures and funds with focus on early-stage capital – typically late Series-A or Series B.

Over the last one month, the fund made at least three other investments, including in US-headquartered agentic AI startup NinjaTech AI, Switzerland-based TechBio company Indivi and venture capital fund Team8.

The fund’s portfolio of investments includes GalaxEye, Yali Capital, Trifacta, ideaForge, TidalScale, AirvizSpeck, Whoop, Stellaris Venture Partners and US-based early stage fund The House Fund.
