Infosys completes Danske captive acquisition

Infosys said on Friday that it has completed the acquisition of Danske Bank’s IT centre in India. In June, Infosys said that it bagged a digital transformation deal with Nordic-based Danske Bank valued at $454 million for a period of five years. The Bengaluru-based software exporter acquired the lender’s IT centre in Bengaluru which employs 1,400 people, as part of the deal.

The company will use Infosys Topaz, an AI-first set of services, solutions and platforms, experience design and services that support operations, said the company.

The deal, which can be extended for three additional years, is to accelerate the Nordic-based bank’s digital transformation initiatives with scale. This collaboration will help Danske Bank better its customer experiences and technology modernisation, according to a press release.
