Accenture CEO claims H-1B visa upheaval a non-issue; H1 data suggests otherwise
Accenture reports strong Q4 results with a 7% revenue increase, reaching $17.60 billion. Despite new H-1B visa fee hikes, the company anticipates minimal impact due to its limited reliance on the program. Accenture views policy changes as an oppor...

“On H-1B visas, for us, this is really a non-issue because we only have about 5% of our people in the US on H-1B visas and, therefore, really specialised experience and skills for our clients. So, not something that is really a big impact on Accenture,” said chief executive Julie Sweet during the post-results earnings call.
Sweet said that Accenture’s business thrives during periods of policy reforms by helping clients navigate the changes.
“And so, at this point, we see an opportunity to really stay close to our clients and help them navigate and take advantage and comply with new policy changes,” the Accenture CEO said.

On September 19, President Donald Trump signed an executive order that mandates a $100,000 one-time fee for H-1B visas. The move was followed by confusion and clarifications as prospective applicants tried to ascertain the exact scope of the new rules.
The decision makes bringing labour from abroad to the US costlier. Despite what Sweet says, Accenture is expected to be among those worst hit by the visa fee hike. The company sponsored 1,568 H-1B visa applications in the first half of the year, as per data from US Citizenship and Immigration Services, placing it among the top 25 employers availing of the programme.
Q4 results
Accenture beat its fourth-quarter revenue estimate, as its topline grew 7% year-on-year to $17.60 billion in the June-August 2025 quarter, according to the financial results it filed Thursday. The company follows a September-August financial calendar.
The Ireland-headquartered company saw full-year revenues grow 7% to $69.7 billion, and expects to record full-year revenue growth in the 2–5% range, in local currency, for FY26.
