Zensar Tech to open 60-seat centre in Poland

Zensar Technologies, the Rs 229-crore equal joint venture between the RPG group and Fujitsu Services, will invest Rs 1.5 crore to set up a 60-people delivery centre in Poland at Gdansk.

PUNE: Zensar Technologies, the Rs 229-crore equal joint venture between the RPG group and Fujitsu Services, will invest Rs 1.5 crore to set up a 60-people delivery centre in Poland at Gdansk.

It is also planning to ramp up the head-count at its Hyderabad centre with an investment of Rs 6 crore.

Gdansk in Poland was selected due to its large English-speaking population and strong technical education. “Most of the people recruited will be local and very few Indians will be sent there,” said Ganesh Natranjan, deputy chairman and MD, Zensar.

In the next two years, the Gdansk centre will have a head-count of up to 500. With TCS and Satyam also joining the fray, Eastern Europe is fast emerging as the next destination for software companies looking at offshoring.
