Yureka Plus smartphone price cut by Rs 1,000, to Rs 8,999

NEW DELHI: Yu Televentures slashed the price of its Yureka Plus smartphone to Rs 8,999 for consumers buying the smartphone in its next sale scheduled for August 6.

The subsidiary of largest Indian handset brand Micromax cut the original price by Rs 1,000 while adding that registrations for the next sale on Amazon close on Tuesday. The company is offering existing YUREKA Plus users a gift card of Rs 1,000 from the website.

The LTE enabled smartphone now becomes the most affordable smartphone with a 5.5-inch Full High Definition (FHD) display, packed with Octa core Snapdragon 615 processor, Lollipop Cyanogen OS 12, 2GB DDR3 RAM, 13 MP AF rear camera with Sony Sensor and much more, the company said.

The company said that its first smartphone Yureka sold over half a million units and the Yureka Plus was receiving the same response with over 50,000 units during sold in the first sale.

The smartphone comes with a Qualcomm® Adreno™ 405 GPU that is designed to facilitate visual detail in 3D imagery, enabling smooth frame rates and full HD video. The phone offers dual SIM slots, a 2500mAh battery and a 5-megapixel front camera. The sale on Amazon closes at 12 noon on August 6.
