Xiaomi Mi 4c hits certification site with Snapdragon 808 on board

It's quite natural for new devices to hit certification sites and benchmark listings ahead of their official release. Something similar has happened with Xiaomi's upcoming Mi 4c handset, which has now been spotted on Chinese certification site TENAA as well as AnTuTu benchmarks.

It is revealed that the handset is sporting a high power Snapdragon 808 hexa-core CPU underneath, so this could be a more powerful variant of the Mi 4 and the Mi 4i. However, it doesn't make much sense for Xiaomi to continue launching devices in the Mi 4 series given the imminent release of the Mi 5 flagship.

The benchmark listing has further revealed that the smartphone will be packing a 5-inch 1080p display, a 13MP rear camera, 16GB of storage and Android 5.1 Lollipop with MIUI 7. It is also shown that the handset will be sold in Red, Yellow, Orange, Green, Black and White color variants, so there could be plenty of choice for the customers at launch.

This could be the second Xiaomi device to launch with MIUI 7 after the Redmi Note 2, which was shown off recently in China. The rumor mill has gone relatively quiet about the Mi 5 launch, but we're expecting to get more word on that over the coming weeks.
