Mobile phone maker Wynncom today said it has launched a new handset with Hindi QWERTY keypad, priced at Rs 3,395

MUMBAI: Mobile phone maker Wynncom today said it has launched a new handset with Hindi QWERTY keypad, priced at Rs 3,395.

QWERTY refers to the arrangement of keys on a standard English computer keyboard. The name derives from the first six characters on the top alphabetic line of the keyboard.

"In smaller cities, where English language is a big hurdle for communicating your thoughts while texting a SMS, this handset will act as an apt medium for the people to express themselves in Hindi in a better way," Wynn Telecom Co-Founder and Managing Director Arvind Vohra said in a statement.

The dual-SIM handset is equipped with a 2.2-inch colour screen, 1.3 MP camera, Bluetooth and expandable memory up to 8 GB.
