Wistron yet to identify customers, says CM's office

A CM's office press release had said that Wistron will make iPhones, among the other things, at its upcoming facility.

The Taiwanese contract manufacturer of smartphones has offered to invest Rs 3000 crore in Kolar district with a potential to create about 10,000 jobs.
The Karnataka Chief Minister's office on Wednesday clarified that the Taiwanese contract manufacturer Wistron is yet to identify its customers for the new facility it is setting up at Narasapura industrial area in Kolar district to manufacture smartphones, IoT products and biotech devices.

A CM's office press release had said that Wistron will make iPhones, among the other things, at its upcoming facility.

"Wistron Technologies is investing to expand its operation in India, but currently they have not finalized customers for this," said a press release from the CM's office.
