MUMBAI: Wipro Systems and Technology today announced the launch of Wipro netPower O1511, a server based on AMD Opteron processors.
"The Wipro AMD based server is designed to deliver better performance and data security to SME's, testing and retail enterprises," Wipro Systems and Technology, a division of Wipro Limited, said in a release.
It comes in two variants powered by a quad-core AMD Opteron 3250 and 8-core AMD Opteron 3280 with additional memory and drive capacity, it added.
Wipro netPower O1511 running on quad-core is priced at Rs 30,000 while the server that hosts 8-core processor is priced at a competitive price of Rs 38,000 only.
"The Wipro AMD based server is designed to deliver better performance and data security to SME's, testing and retail enterprises," Wipro Systems and Technology, a division of Wipro Limited, said in a release.
It comes in two variants powered by a quad-core AMD Opteron 3250 and 8-core AMD Opteron 3280 with additional memory and drive capacity, it added.
Wipro netPower O1511 running on quad-core is priced at Rs 30,000 while the server that hosts 8-core processor is priced at a competitive price of Rs 38,000 only.
