When and where you can buy a JioPhone

Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), on Friday announced the launch of 'intelligent smartphone' which will be available for beta testing from August 15. JioPhone, which is targetted at the 50 crore feature-phone users in the country, will offer free voice calls and SMS to customers. For 4G data, customers need to pay Rs 153 per month.

Here're the key details about when and from where you can buy this disruptive phone:

1. The phone will be available from August 15 - for testing, in beta.

2. The pre-booking for the phone will start from August 24.

3. It will be available for all from September.



4. It will be up for pre-booking from the MyJio app and Jio offline stores.

5. There is a condition that phone will be available on first come first serve basis.

6. It will come with a couple of different data packs.
